Rosa has PARVO!!!

Rosa is a 10 month old Pitbull mix puppy that HEART pulled from a local shelter last week. She seemed like a normal, happy puppy for the first few days. Then her foster Mom noticed something wasn 't right! She started vomiting, having diarrhea & she lost her appetite. She saw our Veterinarian where she was diagnosed with the Parvo Virus. Parvo is an expensive ailment to treat. Rosa will need to be hospitalized on IV fluids & IV medications until she is no longer vomiting. We are obviously hoping she won 't have to be hospitalized for long but we will do whatever we can to help her...& in turn we are asking for your help through donations to help pay for her treatment. Any left-over funds will go to her spay surgery once she is well enough & if there are still funds leftover, the money will be used to spay & neuter other animals in our organization. Thank you so much for your support!!! To make a donation by check to help Rosa, you can send a check written to HEART, Inc to HEART Animal Rescue at PO Box 415, Hamburg, NY 14075.

HEART Animal Rescue and Adoption Team, Inc.

HEART Animal Rescue & Adoption Team Inc. was formed in 1984. Since then we have saved the lives of thousands of animals. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill organization whose main objective is to alleviate the suffering of neglected, injured, orphaned, sick or abused animals in Western New York. HEART believes that all animals deserve the right to live a good quality life, regardless of handicap or personality. We treat all living creatures as we ourselves would wish to be treated. We rescue, foster, and place companion animals in loving, forever homes. Each story is different and many are heart-breaking, but in every case there is a common thread; an animal that deserves a second chance at life.
